This article is about one of the sacraments of the Catholic Church. For confession in other religions, seeConfession (disambiguation). For penance in other religions, seePenance. For reconciliation in other religions, seeReconciliation (theology).
TheSacrament of Penance and Reconciliation(commonly calledPenance,Reconciliation, orConfession) is one of the sevensacramentsof the Catholic Church (calledsacred mysteriesin theEastern Catholic Churches), in which the faithful obtainabsolutionfor thesinscommitted againstGodand neighbour and are reconciled with the community of the Church.[a]By this sacrament Christians are freed from sins committed afterBaptism.[1]The sacrament of Penance is considered the normal way to be absolved frommortal sin, by which one would otherwise condemn oneself toHell.
AsScripturalbasis for this sacrament, theCatechism of the Catholic Churchsays: “The wordsbind and loosemean: whomever you exclude from your communion, will be excluded from communion with God; whomever you receive anew into your communion, God will welcome back” (1445;John 20:23).
The Sacrament of Penance and Reconciliation is also known as “Penance”, “Reconciliation”, and “Confession”.[2]
The sacrament has four elements: three on the part of thepenitent(contrition, confession, andsatisfaction) and one on the part of theministerof the sacrament (absolution).[3][4]

UNDERSTANDING JOHN 20:23

Extracted from an Exhortation by Bro. Moses Alu on Water Baptism and Practical Ministration of Water Baptism
Preached on the 10th November 2017
JESUS CHRISTcalled His disciples and breaded into them “pweeeh!” receive ye the Holy Ghost,
Then He added whosesoever sin ye remit on earth is remitted and whosesoever sin you retain shall be retained and people who interpret scripture by theology not revelation and then they have a man that they have appointed by their selves or by himself as a reverend father, and then standing on that scripture then you will come to him then you will confess whatever sin you have ever committed and then the holy father “your sin be forgiven.. Amen”
No man has the power to forgive your sin, there is only one man that came from Heaven
He came from heaven to earth
To show the way
From the earth to the cross
My debt to pay
From the cross to the grave
From the grave to the sky
Lord I lift Your name on high
Upon this Rock of who Jesus is, He is the only mediator between God and man, No St. Jude, no St. Marry, no mother anywhere, God has no mother. One man! People don’t know him that is why it is very easy to make idol of other men. If you know who Jesus is then who is St. Valentine? If you know who Jesus is then who is that man that is saved by Grace that will come and then they will address him as His preeminence? His Holy, His Lord Ship, He’s reverend Doctor, His holiness, upon this Rock I build my church and the gates of hell shall not prevail.
Peter collect the key, he collected the key, men and brethren what shall we do? He said number one (1)Repent,that is what will change your life, that is where the miracle of conversion is, it begins with your heart pricked, convicted and you see the worthlessness of anything else and you see how worthy this process of salvation is and you don’t want to miss it.
Repent after that, because inMARK 16:15 Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved;Repent every one of you and be baptized, Peter says in the name of the Father? No! In the name of the Son? No! In the name of the Holy Ghost? No!
Upon this rock, if you don’t know who Jesus Christ is you will never know the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost.

ACTS 2 : 38

Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Okay? And be baptized in the name of Jesus because it is a key… it is a key…it’s a key. Because that Name Jesus is the name of the Father, it is the name of the Son, it’s the name of the Holy Ghost, it is the name for your salvation,no other name is given whereby ye shall be savedthe bible say so andin words, in deeds whatever ye shall do Colossians 3 : 17 say do all in the name of the Lord Jesus.
Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ, for what?To fulfillJohn 20:23that is where the power to remit sin is.
Whosoever sin ye remit, look at the Bible, how do they remit sin ? As you take somebody into the water every sin he had ever committed as he entered that water that sins is remitted Peter says “repent and be baptized every one of you for the remission of your sin and when you do that, you place yourself for your life to change. Ye shall receive the gifts of the Holy Ghost for the Holy Ghost is the life changer.

JESUS WAS NOT BORN ON DEC 25TH

JESUS WAS NOT BORN ON DEC 25TH Was Jesus born on December 25 – Christmas Day? History shows that December 25 was popularized as the date for Christmas, not because Christ was born on that day, but because it was already popular in pagan religious celebrations as the birthday of the sun. But could December 25 be the date of Christ’s birth? When was Jesus Christ born? Was Jesus born on December 25 – Christmas Day? A careful analysis of Scripture, however, clearly indicates that December 25 couldn’t be the date for Christ’s birth. Here are two primaryreasons: First, we know that shepherds were in the fields watching their flocks at the time of Jesus’ birth (Luke 2:7-8). Shepherds were not in the fields during December. According toCelebrations: The Complete Book of American Holidays, Luke’s account “suggests that Jesus may have been born in summer or early fall. Since December is cold and rainy in Judea, it is likely the shepherds would have sought shelter for their flocks ...
