* OUR DRESSING IS DIFFERENT*
*[[1Co 15:50]] KJV* Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
The truth of God's word does not change, check it to see that it is constant.
Flesh and blood can't inherit the kingdom of God. God can not change His mind one day on this truth.
The attires of every tribe and every nation are just in tune with the people and their culture. An Effik dresses Effik, an Hausa dresses like an Hausa man. When you see an Igbo man, he dresses as an Igbo man he is.
In all profession are uniforms. The mechanics with a doctor you can differentiate by their dresses. In religion, when you see an Islam dress, he or she dresses their religion, the buddiest if seen on the road, shows whom he is by his attire. Why are the Christians, confused about their attire?
It is because there are the multitude within our fold. In fact, there are only two kingdoms: the kingdom of God and the kingdom of the world. The world dresses worldly, and the kingdom of God has their attire. Glorious.
Where ever you see the people of God, dressing is the first identity.
*[[1Pe 2:9-11/KJV]]* But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.
Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
"....A peculiar people that would show forth the praises of Him that called us"
Every kingdom has a King and it is a domain. A kingdom is a domain where the King dominate. An administrative set up that is governed with a set of rules ad laws. The kingdom of the world is governed by the prince of this world. He sets his subjects to dress according to his principles. It is unfortunately called worldliness. While God makes His own subjects to conform to his own image.
Christians are different people. If you are a Christian, you know that I am not wishing you can be different, no. You're are made differently and you should have had the testimony of being another person since you switched from the kingdom of darkness to the kingdom of God's marvellous light.
I should not be speaking for you. If you don't know that difference, then you are not one of the Christians. You just go to church thinking it is an association. When you die, you brethren will come to bury you and it ends there. Thinking that all are the same. No, there is an experience you must have had that confirmed you are God's seed. Has nothing happened to you?
A Christian knew the experience he had inside him the moment he encountered God. May not have been the day of alter call.
In mine experience, transformation just took place that day and I realized that I couldn't even do the wrong things I used to do before. It is that experience that took over my lifestyle. I began to dislike the fashionable things of the world very easily and naturally. I remembered the day I came home and carried all my perfumes to the fire in 2010 some body I have in me disliked all that.
So, when a brother who should have out-grown certain arguements asks if people who are believers, and chose to act in disobedience dies with earring and weavon, if they will make heaven? It just amazing to hear. You just know that there is what he is missing.
The Holy Spirit 'upon' you is different from the 'indwelling' of the Holy Spirit. Anointing is for service and baptism is empowerment. And they come in measures according to ones sanctions. Baptism of the Holy Ghost brings a sinner and makes him a saint. And some people who are anointed for service may not have the Holy Ghost indwelling. He may still have Him on him and still act in the flesh. He is yet a carnal Christian. Col 1:27..
Where the children of God dresses like the strangers, in carnality, will the Father not deny them? God does not wastes His own Spirit on an unready vessel. 2Tim 2:19.
People often say that God will not do them harm because of a simple error. But let me ask you, have you heard before that earrings and big ornamental dressing are worldly before? Yes! That ostensible dressing and decorations are not heavenly. You chose where you belonged and there you will end. The grace of God must have taught you the truth.
*[[Tit 2:11-14/KJV]]* For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
I can not do anything to take you to heaven. You have the potential to be there if you are called and you answered the call. You must have seen this.
*[[1Ti 2:9]] KJV* In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefaced and sobriety; not with braided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;
Modest apparel are moderate dresses. To the extent that before now you would have been ashamed to dress without that. If before you were saved, to dress without earrings would have looked to you as a disgraceful dressing, that is how God's people are expected to look and celebrate Jesus Christ even happier like that.
*[[Gen 35:1-4/KJV]]* And God said unto Jacob, Arise, go up to Bethel, and dwell there: and make there an altar unto God, that appeared unto thee when thou fleddest from the face of Esau thy brother. Then Jacob said unto his household, and to all that were with him, Put away the strange gods that are among you, and be clean, and change your garments: And let us arise, and go up to Bethel; and I will make there an altar unto God, who answered me in the day of my distress, and was with me in the way which I went. And they gave unto Jacob all the strange gods which were in their hand, and all their earrings which were in their ears; and Jacob hid them under the oak which was by Shechem.
If God had ever called you for the return to Bethel, and had ever said arise, you will not go with your dressing table. The bridegroom knows you're beautifully simple. You should drop all strange gods you had before and go cleaned. Your woodrobe should be screened and all unwanted properties should go under the oak where you were before your conversion. You don't need them anymore.
Can you be travelling to USA and you go shopping in this local market for dresses? The American immigration officer will not even like to look at your rags. That is the truth. You will be cautious of excessive luggage charges. Only some selected food commodity are admissible. Heavenly food commodity are the word of God. Your worldliness and junks shall end in the trashcans of the lake of fire.
