8 reasons you should fast often

Fasting frequently does not make you a religious bigot and it does not mean starving yourself either. You could just do it intermittently. What could be better than drawing closer to God and still being able to get your health on flick? You think I am making this up? Here are eight (8) benefits of fasting:

1. It increases your testosterone levels. Men, in case you didn’t know, this is the hormone responsible for the development of your sex organs and even your body as a whole. It removes the ‘fe-’ from ‘-male’.

2.Boosts metabolism. This has to do how quickly you are able to digest and absorb nutrients from food. The less time your food sits in your stomach, the quicker you can burn fats.

3.Reduces risk of heart disease. People who fast more tend to have healthier hearts.

4.Lowers blood pressure and cholesterol levels. This is logical because since you fast regularly, there is less chance of you eating junk that could clog your blood vessels or build up cholesterol.

5.In keeping with point (4), fasting lowers blood sugar levels and insulin resistance so that excess sugar can get cleaned up from your system.

6.Removes waste from your cells. Have you ever noticed that you seem to poop better when you fast? Usually that is because you don’t have less junk in your system and when you fast, you tend to break with healthier foods.

7.Protects against neurodegenerative diseases. Fasting keeps your brain cells healthier and sharper. It helps your neuro-functions stay on top of their game.

8.Extends lifespan. If all the above are in check then you simply have no choice but to live a longer and healthier life.

JESUS WAS NOT BORN ON DEC 25TH

JESUS WAS NOT BORN ON DEC 25TH Was Jesus born on December 25 – Christmas Day? History shows that December 25 was popularized as the date for Christmas, not because Christ was born on that day, but because it was already popular in pagan religious celebrations as the birthday of the sun. But could December 25 be the date of Christ’s birth? When was Jesus Christ born? Was Jesus born on December 25 – Christmas Day? A careful analysis of Scripture, however, clearly indicates that December 25 couldn’t be the date for Christ’s birth. Here are two primaryreasons: First, we know that shepherds were in the fields watching their flocks at the time of Jesus’ birth (Luke 2:7-8). Shepherds were not in the fields during December. According toCelebrations: The Complete Book of American Holidays, Luke’s account “suggests that Jesus may have been born in summer or early fall. Since December is cold and rainy in Judea, it is likely the shepherds would have sought shelter for their flocks ...
